Bike Paths and Crossings: International Overview

In Austria we have recently had a consultation process on possible amendments of the rules of the road for cycling. One of the topics discussed was cyclist and pedestrian crossings.
Austria has had for some years a cyclist crossing (Radfahrerüberfahrt) which is in its legal formulation a close analogy of the pedestrian crossing. It has its own traffic sign and road markings (see pictures). Continue reading
