Nicholson Baker reviewed the Kindle electronic book-reading thingy in the New Yorker.
And answered questions about it in a chat.
Personally, I spend enough time staring at screens. But I think Baker has given the device a fair trial, and issues around making text good to read on non-paper media will stay with us, for sure.
PS, 16.10.2009: I’m not so impressed by the Guardians rehash of this article months later for the launch of the Kindle 2 on the UK market. ‘twould be nice for someone else to test it and come up with their own conclusions.
